I am a crafter, first and foremost, and have been since I was a child. Girl Scouts is an amazing thing when growing up, though one might not think so at the time. I have learned that with the knowledge and lots of practice, I could do many, many things. Thankfully, with my determination, I have become very good at most things that I do.

 

   The crafts I do include but are not limited to: Pet Sleeping Bags; Woodburning design - animals mostly; and I create designs for journals, diaries, and notebooks, as well as the book as a whole. So, let's explain a little more about a couple of them: I sew the pet sleeping bags because I have a 7lb, cream colored Chiweenie (that is a dog for those not in the know, part Chihuahua, part Dachshund), that gets cold very, very easily. Needless to say, when I started doing that, there weren't many on the market. But my true talent shows with the woodburning design (i.e.: designs burned onto a plaque or a piece of wood). My talent isn't in the picture being put on the wood, but in the transfer and the burn.

 

   I have always been the type of person who enjoys the reaction of people - when I've given them a gift on their birthday or Christmas, the way their eyes light up when it's just the "perfect" gift; when they take that first taste of a dish that I think is the "best ever!", whether I've prepared it or not; or when they see one of my finished woodburning pieces and they can't keep their eyes off of it and have to stifle the urge to reach out and touch it. That's what I love, and why I love what I do...and I've been told, that's the reason the things I do are so good, whether I believe it/agree, or not, because that love shows.
